Another Gundown Update

We've got alot done in the past little while, and with some luck we'll have a full stage in the next couple weeks. I added a lot of stuff to it as well, such as health pickups, game save function, animating stage backgrounds, a better scoring system, and dialog with talking characters. Oh, just so if anyone is wondering, there will be no voice-overs, that is unless we all of a sudden got professional voice actors. I may upload a little dialog test just so you can all see what I've been doing, as for the actual game, well you can wait.

I want to thank *Vicewolf and Sonic Sight for all there hard work, because without them, this game would have been dead a LONG time ago.

Alis:
A young civilian finds herself in the midst of planetary chaos as all Robotic AI
(Construction, Police Squadrons, Military Machines etc)
suddenly go Rampant and mow down all beings not of artificial intelligence.
Fighting her way from the bottom of a mechanoid infested city,
she forces her way to the surface of the planet where she hopes to find rescue of some kind.
Luckily, all is not lost.
Upon finding a strange fire-arm,
Alis finds that she has an amazing knack for shooting.

Cev:
A lone wolf by nature and species,
Cev's goals are shady and vague.
What is known, is that he has had some hand in the recent Planetary AI Rampancy that is currently ailing a vastly diminishing world wide population.
Whether he is the one solely responsible, or hired out by higher powers behind the outbreak is unknown.
One goal of his is clear though...
the elimination of any opposing party to the PAR...
namely, Alis.

your role is at an end. Let the world be led by a species filled with neither hate nor malice, but of pure intellect and logic..."



Coop:
In times of crisis, the line between good and evil is blurred, and there's a profit to be made in that grey zone! Vigilantism is an Arms Dealer's best friend, and Alis' need for guns is a godsend for this smirky 'coon. Check out his products, arrange them as you please, and upgrade them for maximum efficiency.

G U N S


The Gun System:
There will be a large number of guns in Gundown, and so we developed a quick gun switch system. The player will have the ability to equip any 3 weapons from a equip window. The quick switch can be opened at any time during game play.

The Handguns or Pistols:

The most basic of the weapons. Light wight and quick reload times makes it good against light infantry.

The Machine guns:

Making up for lower attack power, the machine guns have much larger clips and firing rate. Make them ideal for mowing down large swarms of enemies.

The Rifles:

Having the highest attack power of all the gun types, the rifles are a good choice for picking off enemies at a distance. There greatest weakness is their small clips and long recoil times.

Well I've been doing a lot of work on the game and things are coming along smoothly. I've begun work on stage 1 and will have it up hopefully some time next month, that is if all goes well. Sonic Sight has the music all ready made for the stage, it sounds great. He has all his music on his page so go check it out.

Gundown: WTF is it

Gundown is a joint project between =Vicewolf, Sonic Sight, and my self. It will play like any other rail shooter, and will work on both Pc and the Nintendo Wii. There is still a lot that needs to be done, like stages, guns, characters, etc etc... Were not really sure when to have it done, we are only three man dev team after all, but we all have high hopes for Gundown. I would talk about a story line or something, but we do not have one at this point, just little things here and there.

I guess it's worth pointing out that this will be a flash game, so it will work on anything that can run flash.

Well.... I didn't make it past round one. I got obliterated by my opponent *Moon-Fayth, but it's alright, she deserves it. All the best to her in endzone XD!!

All right, now that I'm dead *is dead*, I have time to do other things. I have a load of projects i have to finish. If I don't get to lazy, maybe I'll finish something.
